The Department of Health and Human Services Office of Civil
Rights will begin collecting a Pre-Audit Survey from 1200 HIPPA Covered
Business Entities and Business Associates.
The survey will gather information about respondents to enable the OCR
to assess the size, complexity, and fitness of respondent for an audit. Information collected includes, data about
the number of patient visits or insured lives, use of electronic information,
revenue, and business locations.
